If you're looking for a multiplayer game of this type, check out Black Prophecy. It's a new MMO set in space. Haven't played it myself but it might be what you're looking for

The whole Desura thing doesn't work for me. Don't want to install and run yet another portal software to use other software. May check them out if they ever make it to Steam or if they de-couple themselves from Desura.

Evochron has joystick support and TrackIR too. Go read the info about the game because it is a keeper for the $29.99 it costs and is probably better than these new games being suggested, apart from graphics perhaps.
