they have this deal where they will give you a free seat of the new x-cad software if they sign up 100,000 people before aug 1

i used a spare email account just in case it is some kind of spam gathering thing, but it appears ok.

Yeah, I'm sure that's legit. $5,000 software for free, but only if they can give away 100,000 copies. That's $500 million in software they are "giving away".

It's a scam. They're just gathering email addresses for spam.

A parametric solid modeler being given away by a company that doesn't even want to be known. A company that has the resources to write this software but they still need to sell ad space on their web site.

Even if this thing is legit, it doesn't sound like this software is going to replace my SolidWorks any time soon.
