I almost want to get a 5 hour a week job over all the silly retail worker discounts. If that's possible. Or maybe a 5 hour a week seasonal job. Just whatever is barely enough to qualify for this and retailedge. Actually better idea make someone else I know get such a job.

This.

When I was out of work, I applied at Walmart.. never heard anything.. probably because their application/test showed that I was too competent to work at Walmart.

Actually, it was probably because of availability. I look over applications at Walmart and most people don't want to work weekends. If you don't work weekends, you don't get an interview...pretty simple actually.

Something kind of funny in all this... There was so much controversy in Chicago, not too long ago, about allowing Wal-Mart to set up stores. I'm almost certain there was some kind of wage debate, some of it concerning single moms and there inability to get proper health care.

So in my head is a skit with some young male who is like "Dental care? Fok nooo. Who needs teeth? We get free video games b!tch!"

Hehe ...no?

Whew, tough crowd.

:(

You can free games and retailedge even if you work there as a side-job though. Btw don't bother with Brink unless you enjoy uninstalling things.

Usually 3-5 hrs, at least that was the case yesterday.

I did it two days ago and haven't heard anything yet. Hmm... I tried to do it again, but it said my application was still being verified.

Anyone work at those stores and already buy those games and want to donate me a paystub/CD key? :p I am sure there is one of you in that position. :p

I would be very thankful!

I was verified about a week and a half after the fact. Fortunately, it only took about 2 hours to "watch" enough videos to get Skyrim and Rage.

My Daughter hooked me up (last two weeks at BB, yay for her!), got verified the next day and had a Skyrim Steam code about 45 min later, can't beat that, now for a new PC build to play it with... :(

Have over 300 points stockpiled for hopefully better games. Prey 2, hope its good, might just get Rage, not sure yet, expect to see it for $5 soon I'd say, why waste points when I can buy it cheap and save the points for better (expensive) games, when there are any).

Good call. I downloaded Brink through this system when it seemed promising. Guess we know what happened to that game

Skyrim was a no brainer but I saving my points for another more promising game for now. Rage just doesn't seem solid enough and the others are sort of meh for now.

Does anyone know any other sites retail employees can take advantage of? Tried the intel site mentioned but Target wasn't listed.

I'll take a stub if anyone is offering? Preferably the online variant for easy editing.

No offense, but there is literally NO way I'd give out a copy of my paystub to a freeloader. Working in retail sucks, and I'm not going to share the few perks with people who don't work every holiday, deal with ridiculous customers, and are paid little for their efforts.

Bitter much? if you don't wanna share that's fine, I guess you haven't seen this thread.
