If you join BestBuy's Canadian Rewards program at:

The American Bestbuy.com also has a rewards program, no idea how it works or if it is the same.

On the Canadian Site, if you opt into receiving thier newsletter, and not getting paper mail of certificates, you will get 400 free points.
A couple of days later with those 400 points you automatically get $5 Reward Certificate, which you can use on any store purchase.
My bro and I just received our $5 certificates today after signing up about a week ago.
You just get an email and then you print out the certificate.
Also if you have any old Canadian Bestbuy reciepts lying around, you can apply them and get your points.
You just go to the section where it asks you for the receipt contract id# and enter it, and the next day it will have added your points.
Unfortunately i could only find one of my old receipts.
. so a good friend of mine gave me some of his Contract ID#'s from his old receipts, as he did not want to join. hehe more points for me the better, as it dosent take many points to get $5
I dont know if this also works on American, Bestbuy.com Rewards Program?
Anywell back to hunting down my old bestbuy receipts.
