Dear Microsoft, we love you...but please quit making videos like this. They are just awful. In fact, quit making videos altogether.

What? I......what?!
This doesn't even make sense. How does piracy lead to identity theft? The point is that you don't have to pay AT ALL, so how are they going to get your CC information?
And it's more like, please stop making anti-piracy videos period. I guarantee that they do virtually nothing to curb piracy.
Pretty easy actually. I made the mistake a few years ago to use some pirated software Scanned it with A/V, came up clean, but it had a keylogger bundled in. Had all my accounts taken over on thanksgiving day. Was a huge pain in the ass, but I eventually got most of my money back. Ignoring the ethics, it really isn't worth the pain in the ass to use pirated software.
I see, fair enough. TBH I've never heard of that actually happening before until your story.
Metro UI is M$'s best Anti-Piracy measure to date. Make your OS so shitty to use people won't even want to take the time to pirate it.

So from what I understand from the video, Microsoft has new office software branded by Litware that will somehow steal all of your office equipment. I better stay away from Microsoft Office. Also this company needs to hire a security guard.

Happens all the time. I think some of you guys have been living under rocks, or something....

The focus seems to be on the counterfeit software...
So what was the point of copy machine guy and external harddrive girl?
if you watch the video it says
"did you accidental purchase counterfeit software"
this is how your identity can be stolen, you give some fake company all your info including your CC.....

Copy machines aren't just copy machines these days, they are network terminals and can keep images of EVERYTHING they copy and the harddrive connected to a networked computer, that should be obvious what could go wrong there.
So the moral is, don't ever make a copy of a driver's license or check or CC? I don't really understand where you or the video is going with that.
