Fraps & Bf1942 1.6?

How do people get their FPS while playing BF1942 with the 1.6 patch? My FRAPS (free version) doesn't work right. It displays, but it doesn't change very much even between giant battles with multiple targets or walking straight up to a wall and staring at a blank screen...

I just open up the console (~ key) and type in Console.showfps 1 to turn on the FPS counter. Console.showfps 0 turns it off.

I haven't had a problem with my registered FRAPS.

Never used FRAPS but the console command console.drawfpsgraph 0 may be useful too to get off that nasty graph that fps turns on.
