Foxconn, the world’s largest contract electronics manufacturer, has purchased a building in Milwaukee’s downtown area and will establish its North American corporate headquarters there. The seven-story building is expected to host over 500 employees.

The announcement comes almost a year after the company disclosed plans to invest $10 billion over four years to build a 20 million-square-foot LCD panel plant in Wisconsin that could eventually employ up to 13,000 people.

“Could eventually employ 13,000 people”, I “Could eventually be a billionaire” neither are very likely. That whole plant will be automated to a degree that would make even the omnissiah proud. Foxconn is there for the cheap land and the tax breaks and the plant they are replacing with this is getting more expensive since they were forced to adhere to child labour laws and wage increases.

Want some cheese with that?

What *is* likely guaranteed though is Marmelade Maduro will take all the credit, right after he hears about it on TV- "See the sanctions are working. I brought America 13,000 NEW jobs. ME. Which is amazing quite frankly, because they said it couldn't be done (but we got it done) - while the crooked Dem-uh-crats brought zero jobs. Zilch. Nada. You're welcome America. Jobs!"

Yes, he is the first politician to pioneer taking credit for good things while taking smack about his opponents.

There are good reasons to not like the man for sure, but as an effective communicator he's more on the level of Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton than Bush 1, 2, or Obama were. If this is unclear to you then either you've not been paying attention these last 3 years, or your biases are warping your facts as much as "Marmelade's" are.

In before WI taxpayers are remodeling it for them.

WI taxpayers are paying heavy for it already. We are essentially buying the land for them and a few other things like traffic reorganization and they are only locked in for like two years.

He's getting far more accomplished than his predecessor. I don't like his style either but I appreciate his candor. I'll take him over a smooth-talking snake oil salesman any day. 3.9% unemployment and dropping...

That's for the factory, I'm talking about this HQ. Don't be so damn greedy with your own money, there's more billionaires we need to help. ;)
