ok thanks for the feedback spaceman. nice vid, makes the 558's even more tempting. i keep wanting to chase open headphones even though i prefer closed.

thanks for the suggestion. bought a pair of NVX XPT100 used on head-fi to try out. $75 shipped for a brand new pair with 3 hours of use. figure if i don't like them i'll turn around and sell for minimal loss.
