So you play on simulation and switch the steering to lower difficulty to drift?

Skill points are great for getting wheelspins.I guess I should also consider tuning/upgrades, but I don't have that much money yet and don't want to waste it on a car I end up not really liking. Also, I don't know what half the tuning stuff does anyway, lol.
As for skill points, I haven't used any of those yet because they also seem to be car-specific and I haven't really chosen any "favorites" yet, so I've just been saving them.

The latest NVIDIA driver release mentions crashing in Horizon 4 as one of the outstanding issues. I haven't had any problems with the rig in sig.Okay, why does this fucking game crash so much? It seems like fairly often it just straight-up crashes, or won't start the first time I attempt to start it up, or just takes an ETERNITY to load.

I just hate how so many feel the same. And upgrades are very universal. When you pump cars into the S2 or X class, they all basically run the same engines, drivetrains, and sound the same.Mine started crashing also, reverted to previous driver and no more crashes so far. Nvidia 1060. Enjoying this game though, so many cars
Those team events are a PITA in general. Literally tried all night with my dad trying to get the one achievement tied to one of them due to matchmaking and connection issues. So how are you guys liking that Spring Trial? Was a pain in the ass, but eventually I managed to get a competent team after about half a dozen tries. Half the time when I went to matchmake it would just time out, which was fun.

Believe it or not, I think the Drivatar AI in this one is much improved over prior entries in the Horizon series. Be aware that the lower the difficulty the more they drive like idiots, even though they're slower.Yeah, people on Reddit are NOT happy about this one.
Honestly, the biggest issue for me was just the AI completely ramming me off the course when I would brake around tight corners. The AI in this game is honestly pretty shit, they definitely give them superhuman abilities in the interest of making it a "challenge", but the problem is it's not good enough to adapt to a situation versus just taking a certain line regardless of whether or not another car is occupying that same space.

Finished getting all of the roads on both maps, got most of the boards except one appears to just straight-up not have spawned. Not sure what is going on there.
I picked up the RS200 Hoonigan on the Forzathon shop. That thing is a BEAST. It's my primary "tooling around" car now. It's on the east side of the map in the middle of a forest, so unless it's literally on top of a tree (it's not, I checked with a drone), something is bugged there.
If you see a board on the map that doesn't appear when you seem to be right on top of it, then it's either in a tunnel below you, or you're in a tunnel and the board is on the ground above the tunnel. I don't recall if there are any of the former in FH4, but there is definitely at least one of the latter.
Guess I'll upgrade - I haven't seen that particular issue but I have had it crash randomly, so maybe that'll help.

It's in the middle of a forest with a bunch of trees. Unless any of them are literally up in a tree, I have no clue where this one is. I don't see any tunnels around.
I'll see if I can grab a screencap of the exact location when I get home, but I feel like it may be bugged.
You can sorta see the train tracks at the south of the flag location to enter the tunnels

I wouldn't mess with altering the system time because even when I went offline doing so fucked my save game and achievement progress when trying to do so before. I had missed Thanksgiving for the Calendar Man achievement on the Xbox One version and didn't want to wait another year to get it. It was the last day I needed for that one, too, and now I don't think I can ever get it.So yeah, it was indeed deep inside a tunnel. I had to go pretty far out to find the entrance...pretty sneaky, that one. Anyway...100% board completion, whoo!
I've also heard that you can roll your system time back to play previous seasons? I don't know if there are any issues with doing that, but for instance I missed Summer and most of Autumn of this last series because I just got the game not too long ago, but if I could go back and do some of the seasonal events to get series completion up to 80%, that would be pretty cool.
