"Forbes Guy" Jason Evangelho just hired as Sr. Technical Marketing Specialist AMD.

Who got canned?

Well thats good for him! Hope he got a better wage than at Forbes. Good for AMD, they need better marketing. Although they could just be hiring more people.

Not unexpected if you follow his Twitter. He's a good guy but he's pretty pro-AMD. So this isn't a surprising move to me at all :)

Good for him.

That is funny because this guy games with a GTX 1080.

Wonder if AMD will make him do a new build video with all red hardware like they did with Leslie Pirritano.

The key word there is marketing. It's not strictly speaking a technology role.

I work with SAP technical products and cloud software on a daily basis and my Bachelors is in English Literature. Don't judge someone's skillset based off their degree.

Don't think I dislike the guy or anything ok. What I thought was unexpected was that a Sr. Tech Marketer would have some tech background, you know some engineering or comp sci or something like that? Not just two years of CC.

They take the technical jargon and write it up so layman's can understand it, think of Hallock.

yeah degrees don't mean much in this world, as long as ya got one, I have a BS in computers, masters in business, and went to medical school, but now I'm a producer lol. Life has funny way of changing what you originally thought you wanted to be in college.

Heh, I still wanna be rich

Not like "I can afford the 1080 easily" rich, but "Whenever I want I can just go buy a x99 rig with 6950x + dual Pitan X" rich :ROFLMAO:

its all about hardwork (in a smart way) and looking out for great opportunities that ya think you will enjoy doing. if you ain't having fun with what you are doing, most likely you won't make money doing it (sustained) lol.
