Perfect timing. Time to replenish my stock.

Edit: Finally picked some up today. Had some unplanned travel so now my other vehicle is also coming up on needing an oil change

Damn. I have 9, 5QT in my garage. Don't really have space for more and I usually buy a case when it's on sale.

Fine Print: Not valid on purchases made on Amazon.com or Walmart.com. So you have to go to O'Reilly's and pay $13 more per 5qt, reducing your benefit. $36 vs $23 at Walmart/Amazon.

Been there done that :)

I got 2x of the 5qt jugs on amazon in early '23 and got the rebate about 6 weeks later, then did the same deal 5 more times in the following months, nottaproblemo (cause I have 3 vehicles) :)

Guess it's time to go oil shoppin again !

I'll pass. I don't do coupons after purchase. Good for those who do.
I need to buy oil at some point anyway so it works for me, but I get it. Wouldn't run out to buy something I otherwise wouldn't.

Walmart was sold out. Ended up getting some Valvoline garage boxes for 50% off. Came out to a tad under $15/5qt after tax.

Not as good as this, but I guess that's life.

I didn't check to see if Ultra Platinum works with this deal. A YouTube video convinced me to switch from Mobil 1 to Ultra Platinum earlier this year. I bought it online from Walmart, but have never seen it stocked at any physical Walmart.
Edit: I see that Ultra does qualify.

It does, but not from walmart.com only from in store

Tangocard has prepaid cards as redemption options - just depends if they've offered that.
Johnx64 I would remove your picture as the link might be your specific card, unless you've already redeemed it.

It was to make those people that would try and steal it waste time. It was not the full URL and missing quite a bit. Thank you for your concern, you're a better person than most!

I try to only use oil less than a year old as the additive package could come out of suspension after enough time.
Saw an interview with a guy that works at Valvoline once. He said the anti-foaming agent can come out of suspension over time but that's it. Just shake it up if it's sat and you are worried about it. The stuff Lake Speed tested is like 30 year old oil.

Yeah and think that 30 year old can oil is not just "old" as in "things come out of suspension" but also "old" as in "lubricants have improved tremendously in the last 20 years"

Maybe. I don't see any reason to take a chance. The chemistry I know (limited) my gut and the research ive done keeps me from trusting old oil.

Car companies are suggesting 10k oil changes too, but also fuck that.

I like how the wife tells me not to drink bottled water past it's expiration date. I remind her that all the water on this planet is over 250 million years old and it's all expired. :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

In your wife's defense it's not the water it's the plastic.
Chemicals come out of the bottle and into your water

Oh I know that, but she's even done that for water that's been in a glass container. :ROFLMAO:
