How do these interface? Are they ethernet or coax and do they require a brand specific DVR?

If my damn tax refund would come I would consider for my home. My wife said enough toys unless they come from tax refund. Laying the hammer down.

The camera's only connection is the Ethernet cable, it uses POE for power so you'll have to get a POE power adapter on ebay if you don't have a suitable POE switch.
I don't know for sure regarding the DVR aspect. Most POE camera's work with a broad range of software since many use the same protocol.
