Folding@Home bigadv EOL 4th Anniversary Challenge: [H] vs TAAT

They came off of another yearly challenge they do and some switched to the PG challenge that was in between. So, production may have dipped a little from that. Also, a few of their big contributors are still jaded over last year which is sad but whatever. Their biggest contributor mentioned he was done with all challenges and had bumped up his production quite a bit for the challenge they just completed. So, as he winds down to his normal contribution levels and possibly others, that is a big dip in their numbers. I'm not going to beg for them to join in. Either they want to or they don't. If they decide to blow it off, we will just roll with the punches and adjust it next year.

From my experience you don't lose the bonus when pausing, the bonus payout drops rapidly.

I've noticed that if I am working on a high points WU (e.g. 18601) and I spend 10 minutes doing something that requires a system shutdown the points payout will drop from 820k to 750k. That's 10% less for 10 minutes of downtime.

The quick return bonus is definitely in effect for GPUs. I typically keep folding in the background while gaming and the PPD drops quite a bit while gaming and continues to be lower than normal for the work unit even after I leave the game and folding has the GPU fully again. As an example a work unit that has full attention of the GPU will do 1.9 million PPD. If I fire up Horizon: Zero Dawn the PPD estimate drops to maybe 1.2 million PPD while playing and if that same work unit is still going when I exit the game the PPD estimate will be at best 1.6 million PPD. All of that because it takes longer to process the work unit and thus a smaller bonus is applied.
