Any idea if this will work?

I have a newer BIOS for the ASUS EAH4850 1GB model and I'd like to try it on my Sapphire 1GB card. It has higher ATI Overdrive clock limits, for one thing.

I just don't want to brick the card as I don't have a spare video card to fix it.

Yes it should work, but I would try the higher clock speeds using riva tuner first to make sure they are stable on your card.

Speeds are only 625/1004 instead of 625/993, shouldn't be a problem.

I was gonna ask why would you want to do that, but higher clock limits explain it. Now Iam actually intriqued by this, since I have flashed my Asus 4850 core over 700Mhz and overdrive does not recognize it anymore.

Does anybody know what are the OC limits of latest Sapphire cards, I might just aswell flash over Sapphire too :)

ATT might let you take your cards over the 700 mhz limit.
I stopped using CCC entirely once I switched to ATT.
