Windows won't let me have both VPN and firewall services on at the same time. Do I need a third party Firewall or VPN server app to make this happen?
- My Server is behind the router
- Server controls DNS, AD, File Sharing, Print Sharing
- All other machines connected to the same router as well
- Server only has one NIC
- I just need the firewall to protect the server itself... not the network (each machine has its own firewall, plus the router's SPI)
- Will port forward VPN port to static local server IP
So, should I get a software firewall, or VPN server app (like OpenVPN?)... do I even need to do this? As you can tell, I'm at a loss.
