Wondering if there is a program I can use that will list the files on my drive with the largest ones at the top. So I can locate big AVI files, WAVs etc and prune crap I no longer need.
Its probably similar to the other things listed but I like SpaceMonger for showing graphically how big things are, its a small and free program : http://www.werkema.com/software/spacemonger.html
But the quickest way would probably be to just use the search within windows because you don't have to download and install anything.
First, thanks for the links. The Sequoia tool works wonderfully. Found a buried 1.5 GB vid clip.
You seem to have an encyclopdia of handy utils. Alot are listed in your warez/freeware sticky, but I didn't see either Sequoia or DirGraph in the sticky. Do you keep a running, master list?
no just a poorly orgainized folder heirarchy of trials on the RAID array
Im not on my box currently but here is a list of the rig Im currently tweaking
You know, medication might be of assistance with your obvious software addiction...
Actually, I was going to blow you some crap about your software bloat, but then I scanned my registry, saw all the crap I have installed, and that "pot calling the kettle black" metaphor came to mind.
nope, last install lasted 3 years till a hotfix borked it and user error in trying to repair it killed it
(was trying to fix it before the manual instructions made it to the net)
this is for my software "trial" box, the one that I use to surf and that has all the security
my workstation isnt even connected to the internet,or my LAN
and she has never had her browser unbuttoned
