Filtering?

Did the forum start to filter out bad words, because I see a lot of random #'s where "bad" words might go...

EDIT:Holy shit, it worked...wow...that must be a personal word...it must hurt peoples feelings or something. wonder what other words it filters...I'm not about to try it, either!

A lot of urls are also filtered out(usually shit like free ipods and surf junky; basically referral shit that people like to spam).

fan-boy got filtered for being abused in VidCards. There aren't that many regular words censored here, just a few unpolitically correct/offensive ones, like the "C" word as used as a derogatory term for females or the "N" word in reference to African-Americans.

Like jpmkm said, we filter out a lot of sites. Lately that's included a lot of pyramid referral sites like free ipods or whatever. For a while it was all those "gotcha" referrals like join my vampire army and crap.

Yeah, I think any sites that are linked to anything that says "Shoot the watermelon to get a prize!" should be censored, and if they were an actual person, then they should be beaten and sent to prison and possibly endure torchure of sorts.... thats just my opinion, though..... I just have something against "shooting the watermelon"

Gross sites are banned for obvious reasons along with certain objectionable other sites. When you filter our a word contained within a website, it is filtered across the board, so some times if you wanted to post something with t-u-b-g-i-r-l in it you would get the !!!!!!! censor. Certain names, titles, etc are also censored....but no conspiracy to control your posting, I assure you
