I finally started playing Halo (XBox) and i can see why people say it's the best XBox game...

it controls subperbly, graphics are good, sound is excellent (especailly through my JBL surround sound :D ) and it's fun.

still haven't played it for the PC and probally won't...it would seem wrong to play it on the PC now..
 
Halo PC > Halo Xbox... mainly because FPS's don't belong on consoles.
 
I will gladly take a $130 XBOX playing Halo vs. having to spend upwards of almost $1300 to play it at the same frame rate. True it can be cheaper but still I dont see anything under $500 playing Halo as good as the box. Thats over 3 times as much $. I actually prefer XBOX Halo over PC.

Oh ya I like playing FPS with a trigger. You know the way that a real gun is shot. You got one of those on your mouse. I didnt think so.

Generally you dont purchase a PC to play halo.

You purchase halo to play on your PC... Shall we list the amount of things you can do on a PC that you cant do on XBOX?
 
It's an absolutely awesome game on the Xbox, but I recently sold my Xbox and games, so I look forward to picking it up on the PC and giving it a go.

A: PC version was programmed by monkeys
B: LAN is far easier with Xbox
C: PC version is too easy
D: Xbox version is far more stable

not to mention the PC version also sucks those said monkey's balls.
 
And the number one reason the Xbox Halo is better than PC Halo....Co-Op in single player. I couldn't believe they took that out of the PC version. Co-Op is perfect on that game.
 
Another Xbox v PC thread?

These threads are all the same.
Xbox side says Halo is best on Xbox
PC side says graphics are best on PC
Xbox side says PC Halo runs crappy on all but the best machines
PC side says get a better PC
Xbox side says Xbox are so much cheaper than PCs
PC side says PCs are for more than playing games (like watching porn)
Xbox side says they want a controller
PC side says mouse and keyboard is better
Xbox side says that PC version was poorely coded
PC side can't argue with that, everyone agrees on that point
Xbox sice says that PC version needs co-op mode
PC side can't argue with that, everyone agrees on that point


Some people argue about what should do about world hunger, others talk about world peace. Here on [H], we have our priorities straight, damnit!

I think we need a console game forum, so the PC guys can stay on their side of the fence, and the console guys can stay on their side, kinda like the strictly AMD and Intel forums.

Oh, by the way, PC Halo is much better than Xbox Halo, IMO!

i didn't mean to start a debate...but i DID see it coming :p

i do agree that we need a console and PC gaming forums seperate (less Halo arguements that way ;) )

all i was trying to say is i can see how it's the best XBox game...i think it's a crappy PC game IMO...by the time it was ported, it looked so out of date...
 
Just to add a little bit here...

I had some new neighbors move in a few months ago, and they are hardcore console players. Typically they get about two or three X-Box's together, and 8-12 of them all game together. They are absolutely sick at Halo. I recently walked them across the hall to my place, and introduced them to the wonders of LAN gaming.

Now, keep in mind, that half of these people have no idea how to use a keyboard and mouse, so I soldered up a bunch of X-Box to USB coverters, and hooked the X-Box controllers up to the PCs.

The results were obvious. All of them liked the PC version better. The biggest reason they liked it was because of the Banshee. You can't fly a jet in the X-Box version. And there were more levels, better graphics, and all of them stated that it was much, much faster. And they just can't stop talking about them Banshees.

Now I can't keep them out of my house, but they're cool, so it's all good.
