Apparently, every single server of TF2 has 80bazillion people trying to chat about their everyday life 100% all the time.

Compounded by the fact that you have no less then 4 pyros on every server.

I swear to god.

TF2 is going the way of Halo, to shit.
 
its funny when there is a big discussion about tf2 class balances while the game is going on.
 
In every game I play, I turn off the in-game chat. If I want to chat, it will be over vent with people I want to talk to, not 12 year old prepubescent e-tards.

Call me a tard, but there's a way to mute/turn off all the voice chat? Tell me how!

PS. I was in a game once and we had a guy on the team using the voice chat trying to help out and give direction, like good ideas and stuff. And these retard was telling him to stop. Everyone on the team was like "you're a moron." l.o.l.s

TF2's to pot, I agree. It's like they let the work experience kid pitch them some ideas and all went 'HOLY SHIT, HE'S GIVING US THIS STUFF AND HE'S IN OUR TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC, WE'VE STRUCK GOLD' and then proceeded to utterly fuck up a game that used to be blinding.
 
The spoiled little kids get annoying fast, I was playing hl2 dm and there was the most
annoying kid I've ever heard, I asked him how old he was and he said 9...
 
I've found that teams that only talk about crap like that generally lose, so I switch teams or servers rather than deal with it. That's why I try to stick with servers with good admins.

Some people do try to chat strategicaly, but you are correct many don't.

I get more tired of spies and medics that cry about pyros, and engies and snipers that cry about spies over voice more than anything myself. I played as a pyro most of the time prior to the achievement pack, see no reason to change that now.
The pyro achievement weapons and the addition of compression blast to the normal flamer do alter balance in the pyro's favor. Especially against the soldier and demoman . I love sending their rockets/nades back to them.

Some of the better servers do have class limits. I prefer to play on servers that limit both sides to no more than 3 of each class.

Go into the options dialog, and in one of the tabs(I think it's even called Voice, but either way it should be pretty obvious) there's a setting to mute all voices entirely, as well as other options to control volume, enable/disable your own mic, etc.
 
Many of the things they changed about the pyro in this update were completely unnecessary and I have a feeling that until they unchange them, there will be a shit ton of pyros running around.

That said, no, I don't experience people talking about their everyday life over the in-game voice chat. I do frequently run into retards who like to play music over it constantly, but that's why they added a mute button to the game, so you don't have to turn it off to get rid of annoying 12 year olds.

Didn't see anything to mute all voices. But I did see the volume control for receiving voice. Thx
 
I very much dislike the "quarterback" who will join a game already in progress and start telling people what to do. Very, very annoying. Especially when they dont know what the fuck theyre talking about.
