I watch a lot of Kaceytron on twitch.tv, she gets a lot of flak from teh gaming community and I wrote my thoughts down on the topic. I talk about how females are treated in the gaming community. Bit of a controversial topic but am wanting to create some debate and get people talking about it.

Feel free to give me feedback!

complete troll act

has nice rack

Wonder if those are real or plastic? I think she is trying to get views with her chest. If she wasn't the camera would be aimed differently. I don't buy her "I'm tired of being an object" rants when the camera is aimed at nipple one and nipple two.

Also, I don't know that website so zero traffic from me.

Uh and if she didn't want to be viewed as a object she probably shouldn't be a porn star.

My thoughts exactly.

Yeah, so I generally agree with the side that says gaming is full of pigs and the depiction of women in games generally sucks (bikini armor and such idiocy), but in this case she can't complain about getting objectified when she seems to be selling her brand based on her... ahem... assets.

Meh, I've played with many girls in the past and the only ones that get ridiculed are the ones who act like immature morons and the same happens to guys who do the same crap. And if it is competitive, everyone gets crap throw their way, its competitive, its online, and anonymous for the most part. People can get away with saying that sort of crap. I tell my girl every time she gets on CSGO in case she runs into that one or those few that are dicks just because shes a girl to just play and not even acknowledge their existence or mute them. Problem solved. And for those who say that crap shouldn't even be going on, it happens in the real world too, rather than arguing back and feeding the troll, ignore online or call the authorities if necessary IRL, problem solved.

PS. Put the camera somewhere else and maybe you will be treated right.

The fact that so many women who have joined the leagues of "gamers" and "developers", whose goal is seemingly only to voice how sexist everything is or alternatively, to literally whore themselves out; is evidence that there is no real passion for gaming itself, but rather other goals.

There is a difference between the twitch streamer who was a gamer first, that happened to have the right voice, behavior, or skill in a game become popular over the one who picks up both streaming and gaming simultaneously, new to both. There was no motivation with just the game, they needed the spotlight on them too for it to matter. Gaming isn't their focus.

As such, they will not be taken seriously, and will be appropriately labelled as a joke.

p.s. Sometimes those "real" gamers change their goals too, and as such deserve no respect either. Pewdeepie is absolutely best example of this, completely about the money at this point (kinda can't blame him, I'd like to be a millionaire for being a dumbass on youtube).

Most female streamers can go die in a fire. If I wanted to go stare at tits, I would go watch porn. When I watch Twitch, I want to see gaming and a decent personality entertaining me. If you want to go flaunt your tits, go be a cam girl.

Kaceytron esp is a dumb whore that needs to bring the camera up about 2 ft more away from her fat tits and get a better personality and vocab (bitch says 'like' more than anyone I have ever had a conversation with).

Sorry to be so vulgar but I have this discussion atleast once a week with friends and 9 out of 10 female 'streamers' are just garbage softcore cam girls and it gets annoying.

I agree. Tits out only appeals to the 12 and under crowd. That's usually why attention whores on twitch make no money compared to people who focus on good content.

No - they still make decent money from those 12 and under crowd with dad's PayPal account.

And to add - even if I was into that sort of thing to watch a chick just have a cam at her boobs, I still want them to be good at games since I am watching them on Twitch. KneeCole and Kacey are by far the WORST LoL and WoW players I have ever seen. All they do is get carried.

It never occurred to me to watch a "female gaming" steam of any kind. You want women, there are plenty of places for that.

On second thought, most female streamers = attention whores.
On third thought, most male streamers = attention whores.

I had no idea who she was until now. Seems to me she is an attention whore. The camera is positioned perfectly at her tits.

I don't know why you'll hate breasts but I think they're awesome! As far as female gamers go streaming on Twitch, it's all how you present yourself. There is one Starcraft II player named Ms Spyte that plays at the Master level. She plays like a professional and for me personally I don't even remember that she's a female until the match is over. Her complete attention is on the game and mine is also. When she comes up for air at the end of the match and can breath, that's when you acknowledged that you watched a badass gamer that just happens to be female.

No one said they hated breasts in this thread. What we are saying is that you do not need to flaunt your stuff on camera to to get viewers on a gaming stream service.

I have watched Spyte a few times and she is verrrry good and doesn't flaunt her shit all over the place and actually has a personality worth watching.

Although one of the reasons Spyte has anywhere near the amount of viewers and recognition right now is because early on a Twitch admin was obsessed with her and always featured her stream on the front page of Twitch even when she only had about ~100 viewers. Male streamers that were better at the game with 3-5x viewers have never been on the front page. Kinda makes you think.

They also featured WidgityBear on the front page when he only had 150 or so viewers and he blew up immediately. A week or so later he was partnered as his viewer count went to 700 or so every stream afterwards. I think he's really good at flying helicopters in BF4 and some Twitch employee stuck him on the front page although he didn't have the numbers at the time.

Right, but I guess my point was that there wasn't anything exceptional about the stream at the time, she was just another of dozens of mid-master player streams.

Good on her though for actually taking advantage of that early luck and making it into something that people want to keep watching.

wtf is the internet. I mean wtf is twitch.. oh yeah i like playing games not watching them.

It is funny how many people Kaceytron successfully trolls and I actually find it fun just to watch her troll people on her stream.
People believe the stereotype so much that they can't see through the extremely obvious act.

Its an act. The whole thing about her is that she is pulling a "Kaufman" and trolling her own audience and some without even knowing it. She is also trolling the LoL audience/community which believe me , deserves it. I've watched some of the most annoying content created on the internet thanks to LoL streamers and their collective attitudes towards "pro gamers" "serious gamers" and all that other nonsense and the need to label every type of gamer. Competitive "gaming" as its being branded by MLG and now big time by Riot games makes me sick frankly. Its utter and complete segregation from what gaming has done for my life and the lives of millions all over the world. Its the "corporatizing" of something that is meant to be enjoyment for anyone that is interested , the last thing we need is another big corrupt sports organization that exploits its players and its audience for profit.

The fact that she has been incredibly successful just speaks volumes to the prejudice of female gamers and the stigma that seems to follow them whenever they are in the public eye. I mean Kaceytron even does live skits with her friend "catcam" who proceeds to act like a complete "White Knight" and defend her every action as "valid".

Other women on Twitch are both exploiting and also just trying to make a living just like any male gamer , I'm sure former male members of the adult entertainment industry would do the same exact thing if they thought there was a demand for it and yet they wouldn't get a 10th of the flack the female ones do. Not everyone is innocent granted but polarizing female gamers because they , at times , happen to be what is considered among popular opinion as "attractive" or have worked previously in the adult entertainment industry is also exposing the problems male gamers have with not being able to separate a good "gamer" from a good "female" gamer.

The sad part is that there are actually REALLY good gamers on there who also happen to be female but because this issue can't seem to "evolve" these good gamers get buried in the stigma of public opinion.

Bottom line : A gamer's sex shouldn't deter you from entertainment which is what the point of Twitch is.

To someone from the outside, such as myself who doesn't watch Twitch streams at all because I actually play videogames, its just someone being a stereotype.

This comic comes to mind (googled for it, first version of it I found):

Kaceytron? Isn't she the Brazzers pornstar that re-used her logo on twitch?

Don't bother, all the alpha males here will try to explain it away or say stuff like "Just deal with it". They don't care how much women are sexually harassed.

Explain what? The tit shots and pornstar background don't paint a clear picture for you?

I agree with you in general, but I don't agree with you in this particular case. What you are saying is basically that people who chose to put themselves into the public eye shouldn't have to deal with some of the consequences they brought upon themselves by the way they behave.

If you, as a woman (or a man), go out of your way to present your tits (manboobs) during a stream that is supposed to be about computer games, then you simply cannot be surprised that when the Internet makes a bunch of comments about that any which way.

Why not leave it to the "experts" like Anita Tention and her ilk. We've had enough of this controversy4clicks "journalism" to last a fucking generation.
