so i finally finish downloading the fc7 dvd iso over bittorrent (which was a nightmare because i had azureus set to use too many connections which stopped my network connection from working but never noticed since no other torrents had so many peers to download from... but that's another thread) and i go to install and after booting to the cd it asks me what kind of installation to do, cdrom/ftp/http/etc so i select cdrom and it can't find the drive it booted from.

so apparently this is in fact a bug

i can hardly believe this. i can't find any cd isos to download, only the dvd. but even if i get the cds, what's to keep this from happening again...

anyone have this problem and a solution?

Sorry to hear that happened. =/
Try the Fedora 7 LiveCD. It's 701 MB, and should be a quicker download.

[Fedora-7-Live-i686.torrent] @ http://torrent.fedoraproject.org/

Burn the ISO onto a blank CD-R, place it into your CD/DVD-drive, and then reboot the computer. As the computer starts up, repeatedly hit F12 (or whatever button that enters the boot menu for your BIOS), then at the option menu select to boot from the disc drive that the Fedora LiveCD is in.

When Fedora finishes loading and you're at the desktop, go to the menu in the upper left corner and elect to install Fedora to the hard drive.

The rest of the installation process should be self-explanatory. :)
