FBI Wants Palm Prints, Eye Scans, Tattoo Mapping

You obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

TSA (Transportation Security Agency) is who searches your luggage. They aren't really law enforcement.

US Customs (ICE) is law enforcement. The folks you see at the ports of entry are low level guys. Agents, like my father, investigate and arrest many people. I assure you they are not sitting around. They handle the following:

Fraud: Fake merchandise brought into the US. This also include companies who fudge numbers on product they bring over to avoid tariffs.

Drugs: Anything from small amounts to TONS of illegal drugs. Raids, controlled deliveries, surveillance-this is a busy area.

Child porn: Another busy area. Undercover work, internet surveillance/investigation...etc.

And tons of other crap.

These people put themselves in harms way many times in their career. For YOUR better life.

So before you go off and insult good people by saying they do nothing-know what you're talking about. People do work hard to keep you and your children safe.

Actually I am fairly certain I know exactly who was tossing my luguage this morning when I came back into the US and it wasn't the TSA given it was the customs agents but thanks anyway. Oh and the "think of the children" card it is still is a smokescreen. ICE doesn't do their job...period. There are 20 million illegals and growing here that prove it everyday.

Blog children often struggle to understand what real world threats are because they just sit behind the keyboard and haven't been out into the real world much. It isn't worth the effort trying to explain things. They just echo the rhetoric of their daily kos peers that somehow there is a governmental man behind the curtain that has control over their lives in some way or another through false realities of over inflated security beef ups. In reality, they are actually the ones hurting their own personal freedoms creating a false reality for themselves behind the keyboard day in an day out. It is almost like they actually are trapped in a security stricken government controlled society, but it is all in their own mind and turns into their own reality because they actually believe it. Its sort of like how people who believe in something enough can cheat a lie detector test. Then they'll turn around as adults and vote in your Harry Reids, Nancy Pelosi's, and Dianne Feinstien's. The exact people that really do want to put a limit on your political speech freedoms, through programs like political free speech reform and national public radio equal talk time.

Smokescreen eh?

I was hanging out with my dad this weekend when we passed a large popular mall in Tempe (suburb of Phoenix). He mentioned to me that they had worked an operation there; agents working undercover, internet work. They arrested a number of people. All for child porn, and all at the arcade located in the mall.

Still a smokescreen?

Oh, and don't get your agencies mixed up. ICE is primarily and investigation and law enforcement operation. CBP (formerly Border Patrol) handles the border. I suppose they work together a bit, but there is a distinct separation.

Either way-stop being huffy about having your bag searched. It's not ICE/CBP's fault-it's the criminals. People do stupid shit and ruin it for all of us. Everyone here should have learned that lesson by now.

I called homeland security on some Palestinian Solidarity Movement supporters at the University of Michigan the other day. They were getting violent and jumping out in front of my car. :p

Yes since it isn't their primary responsibility and "think of the children" is the justication used to do anything the government wants but what they are supposed to do.

Yeah I don't think you quite get the point since you have apparently never actually been on the warm greeting side of customs bullshit.

Yea, all the colleges are breeding grounds for these idiots now. Berkeley is the worst though. They are full of teachers pushing their own political agenda on students instead of teaching them the subjects they should be teaching. Parents are paying for their kids to be indoctrinated with lunacy and brainwashed now. Instead of pushing out students with an education, they are pushing out brainwashed radicals. It's a lot like the radical schools in arab countries.

Maybe I'm jumping to conclusions but was that directed at me? If so, that may be the first time I've been lectured to by someone nearly a decade my junior! (But the older I get, I'm sure it won't be the last.) I'm married, with two kids, a decent job in advertising, am a conservative, and always enjoy a healthy debate, online or otherwise. And I've never played WoW. But maybe I should...

I've actually traveled to Guam and back a couple times. So, yes, I have. It's not that bad.

hopefully we aren't heading towards this :D

That video on the ACLU site simply defines irony.

Have any of you been to a medical center or hospital of late and had to sign “The Form”?

In essence you are giving up all rights to privacy regarding your complete medical history under the guise of allowing the hospital to bill the insurance company. Read it carefully, you just might not want to sign it.

Take away the guns and only the criminals will have guns.

Give up your ID and only the criminals with the guns will remain unidentified.

I’m not paranoid but I’m not at all sure about all those people following me.

Oh good, glad someone else agrees. I’m even older then you and I too have never played WOW and have no desire.

Probably, like you, my parents gave a damn and knew how to turn off the TV and send me outside to play. You can’t blame a computer, or a computer game for bad parenting.;)

Are you kidding me? Who's the one sounding brainwashed. Excuse me while I give up my rights. Oh? The government wants to chip you so it knows who is a legal, law abiding citizen? Sure, why not? Once you give the government the right to take away your rights, they are gone forever. I for one do not want the government to have all this information about me. And don't get me started on this Real ID bullshit. I am not a criminal or a terrorist. I just believe that my life is my business and the government should be working for me, not against me.

QFT

lets not forget the homegrown terrorism act of 2007, sounds more and more like they want to cart off anyone who doesn't want to live in the 9-5 grind

Read the article.

With that in mind, I've already had all my info taken and directly uploaded to the FBI, so I'm all set. (note: I'm not a criminal... lol)

If you aren't planning on being a criminal, there isn't a worry. You guys need to stop having such over-inflated ego's to think the US gov't actually gives a shit about your worthless civilian life. :p

I laugh because most of these retards will vote for HIllary which will put this country one step closer to Communism. She's nothing but a big socialist and will tax the crap out of you so that means less pc toys for us just so she can support the lazy poor.

So after your done whining like a little bitch that someone took your picture and fingerprints, it's either this or just hang a Soviet Union flag up in front of your house.

Vote Hillary, Support Communism.

The way I understood it was that this new system would work just like our current fingerprint system does.... They're just integrating other defining features into the database query...

Example: If they have some security cam footage where they can make out a tattoo, and they have a partial thumb print and maybe a partial palm from the crime scene..... Now you'll have one database to check that info against instead of 3.... So instead of getting 30 matches based on the partial palm, you get 1 or 2 because of the tattoo and the thumb print.....

I don't see them randomly stopping people on the street, or even running your fingerprint to get on a plane.... I just see it as being similar to the license plate and your driver's license, which the cop that pulled you over for speeding/etc can check for warrants/etc/etc/etc....

No dude, you obviously haven't been reading the conspiracy theories. They're going house to house and implanting our molars with RFid chips while we sleep. They inject you first with sodium thiopental so it just seems like a dream and you wake up not knowing. Then they have the ability to track your every movement! They watch you!

it's amazing what you miss when you don't read the fine fine FINE print... lol

Yeah, you have to stay on top of the internet. The high schooler conspiracy theorists have all the answers. That's where it's at.

for you guys whos parents are law enforcement customes etc etc etc. that is great, but any man, woman, politician, or law enforcement officer who can look me in the eye and swear they can protect me and my family are a bunch of liars. the point of this is that the elected officials of this country for the last 150 years have made every effort to convince the general population that they know what is best for us. Law enforcement of all agencies are around to enforce the laws, not to protect us. they do not carry guns to protect citizens but to protect themselves why they are enforcing such laws. And no, the government doesn't give a shit about us everyday citizens until we start disrupting their carefully layed out plans by protesting or speaking out against thier plans. Look at all the illegal surveliance etc that the FBI collected under Hoover. you think that all that shit stopped when he died? If you believe that then you are a first class fool let me nottify your local sherriff's dept so they can mail you another donation form to fill out. And now aafter all these lovely federal laws passed to combat terrorism now, the director of the DOJ can declare a US citizen an "enemy combatant" nullifing all constitutional rights, without a trial. Land of the free my ass. I am ashamed that after so many men and women gave so much, even thier lives, for this country and that this is what we have done to it.

im not very religious, but can anyone other then myself see the mark of the beast coming or what.

...stands in line for my barcode tattoo. and RFID ear(tag)ring

There are some who believe that the infamous "mark of the beast" already exists - in the form of your social security number. I wouldn't got that far, but some people would.

Of course, some people thought Reagan was the Anti-Christ because his name was "Ronald Wilson Reagan" OMG six letters in each part of his name, 6-6-6, AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!:D

I'll give the FBI two things --the prints from my middle fingers, and one of my pale, middle-aged a##.

Wait...that's three things.

Yeah, you have to stay on top of the internet. The high schooler conspiracy theorists have all the answers. That's where it's at.

Why don't you give your ego a rest already, you over-inflated gas-bag.

Your supposed work at a nuclear facility does not qualify you to know about or understand the true workings of the FBI, CIA or Little Debby's fucking cupcake factory.

You can spew all the superfluous bullshit you want, and it makes you non-the-wiser. You're brow-beating those who are rightfully concerned by calling them "conspiracy theorists" makes you as stupid as those you'd attempt to condemn, since being the opposite, completely ignorant by trusting our Government, just puts a target on your back.

The fact is, the Government in the "modern day" has always been corrupt, and that's only increased exponentially over the years. Money changing hands, very wrong hands, and being used for things that are an invasion of public privacy.

The fact is that the Government is not as concerned with terrorists as they are with the complete, almost communist control of their own people, and it's be show and proven in more ways than I'm even going to bother reiterating here, since anyone with half a brain should already be aware of in this country.

With all this talk of "crime prevention", I find it interesting that the crime rate is increasing, and the nature of the crimes is becoming more abhorrent every day.

When there's a school shooting every other fucking week, and yet someone like you believes that any branch of our Government is doing their fucking job, you've obviously a serious blind-spot in your perception and perspective of reality.

While there are branches of the Government, and branches of those branches, that do do their jobs, and are attempting to look out for John Q, they're extremely under-funded and under-supported, because most resources are put into other things that aren't so fucking "touchy-feely" as you'd like to convince everyone here of, that our "Government truly cares".

Most certainly, use the issue of illegals as another example as well. With all of this "high-tech" technology invented for "public safety", you mean to tell me they "cant" catch and deport all the asshole illegals in this fucking country? And due to that, we're supposed to "trust" that something such as the Patriot Act is not one more giant step towards a fucking communist state?

Spying on their own citizens, indeed violating and stepping on our rights like a fucking doormat, but not even remotely putting any balls behind the problem of illegals or perhaps keeping tabs on gun shops around the world for dumb-ass kids who purchase semi-auto's and kill fifty fucking people?

There's more merit to those who you deem "paranoid", than to those who walk around willfully blind. Humans by nature are fucking greedy, liars, corrupt in virtually every manner and completely untrustworthy. Those in "power" are the epitome of the "human sickness", aside from being generally fucking stupid.

But you go ahead... trust your precious Government. While someone such as yourself who is completely lacking in common sense and self-respect, but far too stocked on ego, has no problems with where things such as this are leading, right along with things such as the Patriot Act, most of us with a little more brains and a little more depth do have a fucking problem with it, and rightfully so.

Obscure Terror, you seem very offended. Thank you for your valiant effort and time. :p

The sad part is we traded freedom for less security just a bigger pain in the ass to do anything, have you been to an airport lately? only 40 more ways to get searched for shit you don't have.

If you want an even better read that will open up your eyelids, here..

There was a Chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day, while the class was in the lab, the Prof noticed one young man (exchange student) who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. He had been shot while fighting communists in his native country who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist government.

In the midst of his story he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked, "Do you know how to catch wild pigs?"

The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said this was no joke. "You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in The last side. The pigs, who are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat, you slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd."

"Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening to America . The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms - just a little at a time.

One should always remember: There is no such thing as a free Lunch! Also, a politician will never provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Also, if you see that all of this wonderful government 'help' is a problem confronting the future of democracy in America, you might want to send this on to your friends. If you think the free ride is essential to your way of life then you will probably ignore this, but what will you do when the gate slams shut?

If you want an even better read that will open up your eyelids, here..

Good one, w1retap. Couldn't have said it better myself.

The government knows that most people won't bitch too loudly as long as changes don't interrupt their episodes of "Survivor" and as long as they can still eat at McDonald's and get their favorite dirt from People magazine. We've become too comfortable to give a rat's behind, or give more than a feeble protest.

"The man who trades freedom for security does not deserve nor will he ever receive either."

Seems someone beat me to my answer.

I guess people have forgotten 9-11 already. I tell you what, if you can provide this country with the tools it needs to try and protect us as much as possible without giving up ANY so called freedoms you think you have, then by all means go to work for them and tell them how to do it. Otherwise, let them do their jobs and give them the tools to do it and stop being paranoid conspiracy theorist and terrorist lovers.

Everyone knows the government can not totally 100% protect every one in the country but, without the tools they need, it makes it a lot more likely that something will happen. I think us not having another attack on the country since 9-11 speaks volumes for what they have been able to do so far with the new tools so far, even though the conspiracy theorist and the communist organization called the ACLU have done everything they can to stop them from being able to. They want the terrorist to be left alone and given access to our courts and the rights we Americans enjoy. Personally, I think if you are not an American, you don't have any rights under our constitution and no rights to anything.

If you think you have a right to privacy out in the PUBLIC, then you are really misguided.

If you know how to protect the people and do the job law enforcement needs to do without giving up any so called rights you think you have, then by all means, teach them how.

Nah, that isn't how the majority of people think. They find it more convenient to forget about terrorist attacks in an attempt to fool themselves into thinking we are not that vulnerable. Then they also fear losing all these invisible privacies and freedoms. So in that regard they want to have nothing to do with trying to prevent any of it. The message they send is "bring our troops home so they can protect us in our home land". Sorry, that isn't where terrorism breeds and grows. It is outside of our borders. When they infiltrate the home land, it is already too late. It isn't some made up scare tactic, it is how the real world works, and we've seen it time and time again, not only in the US, but in numerous other countries. In a world where your enemy blends in with the civilian population, and has no face or governing body, you need to employ different style tactics while preserving your citizens freedoms. It can be done, but you have senators and special interest groups cockblocking progress in the proper direction.
