Toe Jam and Earl was a fantastic game, the side on platformer wasn't half a good as the original though, rocket boots for the win :D

Now granted some of the stateside Berserk games have sucked but as far as overall badasses go Gats (or Gatsu) takes the f&%$ing cake.

If you've seen the series you know what I mean if you haven't you need too. His story makes Max Payne's look like a Disney movie.

I know the Kada/dances that Tekken boy does up there by heart, I had to learn them practicing a certain style of Martial Arts in Korea.

Snakes Revenge on Nintendo was tough.

Honestly, I don't think other game characters really stood out for me.

I'd like to add that I made my general online alias when I was 11 years old (1996). The release date of FF7 was the year after, damning me for life.

3. Alyx Vance
The speech, facial movements, and general AI of HL2 are simply stunning. Alyx is pretty darn lifelike at times.
