Release Group CPY has posted their work on Far Cry 5, cracking the drm that includes:

    PROTECTION uPlay + VMP + EAC + Denuvo x64

Many people saw the writing on the wall when Sonic Forces was circumvented not long ago, sharing a similar form of Denuvo. This time, it took just over 2 weeks for them to accomplish what was supposed to be impossible.

With such a short lived DRM life on this title, could this open up Ubisoft to removing the now pointless DRM from legitimate copies? Recently there have been claims that Denuvo is slowing games down, and with a failure to keep the game under locks for a full month, what's the point?

Ubi and other companies will NEVER remove DRM.. just find more ways to screw legit customers.

Yeah for the most part companies will never remove DRM even if the title is cracked. Remember it's not about the few pirates that can find and download a non malware infected game from the net, it's about the legitimate users who share it with their friends and showing shareholders that they are at least trying to do something about piracy that are the targets of the DRM.

I doubt anyone believed it was impossible. I thought the main goal these days was to protect the release day sales, and even a two week window is better than opportunists downloading cracked copies on day one (or before).

They (Denuvo) actually settled for that when they couldn't actually execute their promises of invulnerability. Now they give refunds if the DRM fails within a certain time frame afaik.

Denuvo has never claimed that the DRM was uncrackable. In fact they've said the exact opposite from the get go. And no, there is absolutely no proof that they do that. What it seems like they do is allow publishers to get a refund, if they wish, as long as they agree to remove Denuvo from their game.
