FAO: LigTasm Please help, Win7+Z87 RAID can't install

Well, what was the fix in case anyone else runs into your problem?

Thanks.
He said he downloaded an updated ISO.

If you download the 'trial' version of OSes, often times Windows setup cannot detect the disk or you get errors. I've seen this error when trying to install in VMWARE, the trial version of Windows wouldn't work. You use a non-trial ISO and it works. I'm sure this issue can pop up on non-VM computers as well. He may of had a trial version of 7.

To be accurate, the poster said "downloading", not downloaded. Meaning at the time that post there was no resolution.

I casually helped someone (IRL) with a similar problem a few months back ago, but they decided against using the Intel raid settings over using built-in Windows RAID0 and the problem went away. Didn't even consider that they could have used an RTM ISO.

I had an Intel RAID 0 setup and one of the disk dropped out for no reason, and they make it very difficult to recover. With Windows software RAID it's never been an issue. But with Windows raid you don't get the ability to enable write-through caching like you can with RST.
