We don’t usually take time on navy ships unless there are rail guns involved, but since the U.S.S. Enterprise is a technological marvel in itself, the event deserves mention. The Big E is deploying on its last voyage in its 50 year history as the oldest serving aircraft carrier in the U.S. fleet. The list of distinctions is too long to cite other than it is the world’s very first nuclear powered aircraft carrier. The ship will be decommissioned after its seven month deployment.
