failure notice - can't email people

Hi. This is the qmail-send program at mailout-us.gmx.com.
I'm afraid I wasn't able to deliver your message to the following addresses.
This is a permanent error; I've given up. Sorry it didn't work out.

Sometimes I get errors like the above. I suspect that it is because some domains think all gmx.com email addresses are spam. I just want this confirmed or denied by someone that knows better.

Also, is there anything I can do, short of getting a different email provider?

The recipient would need to remove you from any blacklist and add you to their whitelist. Depending on their setup their blacklists change all the time explaining the infrequency. This is all assuming the mailbox exists on their end.

Try your ISP, as sometimes they give you 1-5 free email addresses using their domain. ([email protected]..... or, [email protected] ..... etc.)
