One of the reasons MySpace was abandoned in favor of TheFacebook.com was the unity of the UI. MySpace was sparkles and annoying music and LOTS of moving pictures. You couldn't do any of that shit in thefacebook. The end result looked polished and professional, and it was easy to catch up on multiple people with one UI. I, for one, welcome the loss of MySpace.
 
I don't book my face. But I did get an email from a Facebook recruiter looking for IT people. I politely responded it was outside of my travel range... but also... I hate Facebook. Would I go work for Satan, Inc if it paid a shit ton of money? Hmmmmmmmm

I think Google shut down Google+ because they thought they were going to get more data on people, then realized they already had it.
