Article about it all here. The article also announces more episodic DLC coming for Fable II.

Looks like you get to be King...but will you be a good king or *gasp* an evil king?!?!?!


...Yeah, Fable has never been my cup of tea, but I'm sure this is welcome news for some.
 
I'm really not sure how this will play... surely a king sits around and tells others what to do?
 
you probably have to work your way up to king somehow. prove your worth, like pulling the sword from the stone.

or maybe you start your own kingdom, getting followers via fear or love.
 
The Fable III thing shouldn't come as a shock, since I think they've mentioned it before, but not an official announcement. I've enjoyed 2 (as well as the first game), so I'll more then likely get the third. However, with that said, knowing how they operate it's not coming out in 2010. It'll be delayed :)
 
i enjoy the fable games, i look forward to it but I DOUBT it will be out in 2010. LoL:rolleyes:

Glad I'm not the only one who felt this way. I loved Fable 1 when it came out and couldn't stop playing, now I almost have to force myself to pop in 2 and sit through it. Sad, I wish I didn't have to force myself to like it. :(

I 'think' I agree. If not I can see where you are coming from. I however enjoyed the game, will probably pick up the 3rd one.

In Fable 2 I felt there was too much grinding just to get the cool items.
 
Im sick of Fable to be honest. I played through both 1 and 2. 2 had some glorious moments where I got lots of enjoyment out of it. The combat was really great. I just got tired of all the sim elements to it. The main story could have been epic but it was just "meh". At the end of the game you realize that the main story is just there out of neccessity. Fable is really all about "Fantasy Sims" meta game and what it has to offer. Its got a lot to it and is quite complex, but Im just not into it.
 
I can't read this at work but I hope they do a lot more with Fable 3. With Fable 2 the story was lacking as were many other things - clothes, weapons, side-quests, variety, why does my character (esp) female turn into a tree trunk with increased physique, why do the clothes look terrible on the characters, etc. The list goes on. It needs to be more RPG-ish. IE more character customization and progression.

I did get a good bit of fun from the game though I'm not saying that. I just wish there was more to it.

Really wish I could consult for developers, would solve a lot of problems.
 
It looks like it's going to be a Natal project? I can see the "King" thing melding well with that, with the dialogue that I can imagine being involved in being a king. That, plus the Milo and Kate video at the bottom of that page, narrated by big Pete M. himself. Looks like a major proof-of-concept.
 
For some reason I see it being just like hitting the top in Fable 2, nothing changes other then your title.
