Honestly i know about computers but not much about phone dynamics . some say you can unlock certain sprint phones to work on the T-mobile network I just don't know if this is one of them.
 
Did some research and it seems like it will not workout. I currently have a non-plus S8 but really want to upgrade. :(

The "Sprint" S8/S8+ will work just fine on any carrier if it's unlocked. T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, whatever.

The S8 doesn't even identify as a carrier branded phone until a SIM card is inserted into it for the first time, whereupon which it 'brands' itself and downloads carrier specific app packages to the phone.

This process can be easily and safely reversed by flashing the generic unbranded firmware onto the phone with Odin, but you don't even need to do that to use the phone on a different carrier. (you'd just have a few Sprint apps on the phone and a Sprint boot screen).

I love my S8+. :)

I still have the router with the box if your interested also have a ASUS RT‑AC68U new with box paid 140 on amazon last week willing to let go for $100
