is it just me or does that pic look horrible? besides the body and the gun there are like 8 polys in that pic lol. Everything is one big box :/

i noticed you said hella are you from the bay area?

can you shoot dead bodies? im sitll downloading the demo
 
yes you can shoot dead bodies, jus blood spatter when you do, no other cool effects.

the coolest is when you are nice and close and you make the bad guys 'splode with the shotty. gibs everywhere.

And melee is actually effective.

That would be sweet if you could be that robot, and it had a mini gun attached! Look so sweet especially with the cool impact particle effects!

That gun in the first screen has a sweet distortion effect when it fires, but I could never time the screenshot right to grab it :\

wtf, it's a Bay Area only thing? I use it all the time, it's part of my every day vocabulary, I thought the whole english-speaking world used it. Maybe I should stop saying it. :eek:

i took the screens form behind a ingame bullet-proof glass hence the blur :D
 
Still shots of this game look pretty....bad. Didn't nVidia say we would see a performance increase in the retail version? I'm not seeing it on my machine, that's for sure :mad:

Playing it at 10x7 with 2xAA 4xAF. Yuck.

But, I'll be another one to say the screens don't look good. But, for me, it's because they're just that, screenshots. IMHO, the game looks much better in motion.
 
ya, it looks MUCH better when you play and sounds great too! i gotta buy those logitech speakers my 4 yr old creative 5.1 dont cut it anymore.
i turned it all to the maximum, Vsync and AA and what not, 1600 x 1200 and my avg FPS is about 25 - 30. i wonder how much will it drop if i turn on softshadows.
i guess all of you with these screenshots got the "pre-release" game ;)
 
i'll agree that the surrounding does not look that good but its been said many a time graphics dont make the game. i think FEAR more than makes up for that with killer game play

I dont know, I really thing this game looks better at 1024X768. The lighting looks better. Anyway, I get a pretty constant 60fps at 1024X768 with everything except soft shadows on max.
