Alright guys, I've been trying to get a signal to our guest house. We have an office thier that needs to get some internet, so I got this combo:

the WMP300N PCI wireless card and a WRT300N wireless router. The signal needs to go ~500 feet. The problem is, that it cant reach the office. It has to go though five walls, which kills the signal. If i take the antenna portion of the card and stick it outside, we can get a workable signal.

So I then decided that i need to get a exterior antenna and I'll be all dandy. The problem is, I dont think there is such a thing as a PCI card that has an exterior attachment, at least according to my findings. I figured I could just get some wire and put it on the ports of the wireless card or something.

Any ideas?

Build two $1 corner reflectors and aim them at each other.

Try PowerLine networking.

I've never seen a Dlink or Linsys PCI card that DIDN'T have detachable antennas....

Get an 18DBi Yagi or something.....
