i thought this error was removed in 2013 because it no longer has the clip organizer. not so, trying to copy 18k rows gave me this error. how can i fix this?

I get this message with excel 2013 on Windows 8.1 copying just 20 cells.

Tried googling this issue, as I'm also experiencing this issue with a spreadsheet on office 2013.
Ironically, this thread is one of the results. ;)

If I find anything worth mentioning I'll post a reply here.

I'll be damned, but I found a solution (that works for me).

When researching this issue, the general consensus talked about any '3rd party programs' that somehow hook into the clipboard. In my situation, it was TeamViewer, which syncs the clipboard between the local host and the remote session.

Basically, try closing out any other programs running in the background that may somehow hook into the clipboard, and try Excel again.

Hope it works for you!

i do have teamviewer running, and use it quite often.

yep, no error when teamviewer is closed.
