Excel 2007 Question

I'm learning how to use Excel 2007 with The Smart Method.
Going pretty well so far, but I have done something dumb that I don't understand and don't know how to fix it.

I have expanded the Cell Styles in some fashion and I can't collapse it back to the default setting.
This only occurs when I have maximized the entire 'sheet. See attached screenshots.

Isn't that how it's supposed to be? The wider the ribbon, the more more-frequently-used features appear?

No, none of the other icons are expanding, only that one.
