Keeping on our trend this morning of finding good deals on electronic stuffs, cageymaru also pointed out that you can grab a EVGA GeForce GTX 1070 Ti FTW ULTRA SILENT GAMING card for $510 at Amazon with Prime Shipping, and those are still in stock. So if you have been looking for a new card to push PC or VR games, this might be the time to jump on it.

MSRP of 1070ti is $449. Title is kind of misleading

What a second post in 6.5yrs... but I had the same thought at first... but when I checked the title it does specify EVGA so it is referencing EVGA MSRP, so it is correct.

Crypto been going crazy recently, big up and down swings, curious how this will play out...

lowest price ever on this card through amazon was $500 , so, finally
cards are getting close to 'normal', but the big question is , do I buy
old tech this late in the game, or wait 6-8 months to get the new stuff ?

I'm going to try and wait, but if this card suddenly dropped to $450 new
    I might re-think ...........

    God fucking damnit.
I bought the EVGA 1070 (regular not TI) yesterday there for $30 more than that price.

I'm waiting at this point unless they drop to well below MSRP. I've waited this long (still rocking a GTX 770) I might as well save up more and score one of the next gen cards when they first release which if lucky can score at MSRP before the inflated prices kick in.

Isn't the 1070ish a high but still midrange card?

EVGA's MSRP is a moving target, unfortunately. On their forums they cited the sharp increase in GDDR5 pricing as the culprit, but some of the increases were much more substantial than others.

Retail price went up due to ddr5 price increase (among other reasons), so the $510 is below current MSRP. This is a decent deal for someone in the market for a gpu upgrade.

Really depends how you look at it.

1050, 1050ti, 1060 3g, 1060 6g, 1070, 1070ti, 1080, 1080ti, titan. That puts the 1060 6g and 1070 as 'mid' range cards. But this in terms of performance, a 1070 is substantially more close to the high end than the low end.

not really. It's just that you got used to over-inflated prices during the past year or so

In this crypto crazy world we live in, I guess this isn't a horrible deal?

(I won't bother talking about the great deal I got on my 1070 2 years ago... back then even full price would be a great deal now)

Oh, and thanks to the GPP, the “gaming” label allows me to understand what I’m buying. Thanks, Nvidia! I was confused before, but now it all makes sense!

Yup, I got a gigabyte 1080 for $640 CAD last year which is around $500 usd. Nice to see prices drop but it's still to high imo.

At the time they had EVGA 1080 for around $680 cad as well.

At this time the 1070 Ti is probably the best gaming/buck card for high end. Performance is close to a 1080. I consider the 1060 as midrange.

Those who want to see if they can get a 1080 Ti for under $800 or even $700 might want to buy and wait at OfficeDepot/Max. These are MSRP's not sure if they are actually delivering any to customers but they may be. Add to cart from this search, going to product page will not allow adding to cart.

A low-high-midrange card, smack in the middle of mid-high low range mediocre.

sheesh I remember feeling like I was overpaying for my GTX1080 at 550 6+ months ago. I feel so bad for anybody trying to upgrade now.

holy schmoly, 367 used GTX 1070's listed on eBay at this very moment ... all of them over-priced by at least $100

One listing shows three cards in boxes (very nicely photographed) and the caption says, "They were very lightly used for about 7 months mining crypto and are in like-new condition."

If they were run 24/7 for 7 months how can they be LIKE NEW?

    AFAIK
The GPU core would have been undervolted and lightly used, but the RAM on them would have likely been severely abused.

At least, that's my understanding of GPU crypto mining. GPU underclocked for power savings and RAM overclocked for high hash rates.

    ---

On the Canadian Amazon, Gigabyte's GTX 1070 Ti briefly hit C$649.99, whilst EVGA's 1070 Ti FTW2 hit C$709.00.
    Drastic improvements!

Unfortunately the RX Vega cards remain well over C$1000

Looking forward to the 1080Ti being in stock again at non-stupid prices. Been waiting on that for a LONG time now (almost a year)
