Can't complain. It's more than 50% off the original price lol.

Gah, what to do?!?! Have a 5700 now, with an HP Reverb G2 (4K) VR headset coming mid-October. I'm not the type of guy to wait in line outside to get a graphics card. Do I buy this, or pray that I can get a 3080 or 3070 in the next 30 days? I'm sure I can get at least $450-$500 back out of this thing, if I do snag one.

I'm in the same boat with 1080Ti

450-500 from the refurb 2080ti? I would not make that bet.

I just sorted eBay finished auctions for used 2080 Ti's (taking out a few fake ones that eBay removed) and took the last 20 that finished. Granted, most were AIB models that are nicer than this EVGA blower (though, the EVGA comes with a 1 year warranty). The average selling price was $672. Only 4 had free shipping, and average shipping was $15, so we'll call it $10. Therefore, the average selling price is about $680 for a used 2080 Ti. This is $160 more than the EVGA. I'm sure in 2-3 months the 3070 and 3080's are still going to be in short supply, so I don't think getting $450 out of this 2080 Ti will be difficult.

But reviews are out today. I can't speak to the clueless buyers on ebay but no one here is gonna pay 600 for one.

Even with associate code sales tax takes this to $561.68 in NC. I'm starting to smell bullshit with 3070 but I can't drop that on b-stock blower. I think 3070 will have bundle too.

I knew I wouldn't get in on a 3080 before the gougers and resellers anyway so picked up the 2080ti. It's not ideal, but for the price and the fact it could be several months before 3080s can be found at MSRP, I can live with it. Just glad to finally be rid of this 5700 XT.

I'll give you 200 for the 5700 xt

I am about to buy another 5700 XT. Newegg has them for $369 AR, such a good value. Also, I dont understand all the sky is falling for a 2080ti. No way a 3070 is going to be better. 3080 is what, 15-25% better at 1440p?

30 to 35pct at 4k which is where this much gpu power is needed anyways.

I think we are a long ways off from affordable 120+ hz 4k displays though... my monitor is 2560x1440 @144hz and my Zotac 1080ti is doing fine there. Plus i dont even have a 5.1ghz intel so im probably cpu bottlenecked

In certain cases not even. I watched Bitwit's video and that shed some light on real world performance. Seems like a decent upgrade for 4k but not worth it for 1440p.
