EVGA 8800GT or 8800GT Superclocked?

Which one should I get? Isn't it the same if I just get the regular vanilla 600 mhz version and OC it myself to 650? Do people have a lot of success with that? How much faster is it really? $15 more for the superclocked version on newegg.

I had a Superclocked GTS-640, and it only clocked to a meager 600MHz, so they aren't always the best of the bunch. OC the normal version.

all 3 of my eVGA vanilla cards did 700/1750/1000 or higher, the one i am selling was the best clocker of all and has the big fan.

Their overclocked versions have essentially the same changes made to them, that overclockers make using RivaTuner, ATi Tools, etc. The only difference is they are applied at the factory.

Some people think that the factory overclocked cards are the cream of the crop, for example they test each GPU and choose the best performing ones to be the factory overclocked ones, but I havent seen hard evidence to discount or support this theory.
