I was tempted but no. My lowly 10GB 3080 will have to do until the 4K series
Wily, just upgrade your CPU to a 5000 series and you'll see a nice boost in performance. I went from a 3800x to a 5600x in a system with a 3070ti and the gaming performance was noticeably better. 5800X3D seems like a great CPU, though expensive. Not 3090ti expensive, however.

I'm actually content with my gaming performance. A 5900x or 5950x would really be the only upgrade that makes *some* sense as I do a bit of 4k video editing in addition to gaming. The upgrade itch is always there when something better is available, but realistically the 3900x/3080 will be just fine for now. I don't anticipate a CPU upgrade until well into AM5's life cycle. I typically find my CPU's perform adequately for 5-7 years before they really start holding me back.

Its also much cooler and quieter by far when compared to my Strix 3090 OC.

Woa woa woa! easy now. No one can violate the holiness of the strix. I do have one too, I would say they are very similar in noise level, but the 3090ti FTW3 memory runs considerably cooler, without repadding!

Hi, Is any sense to sell Gigabyte Gaming 3090 and buy Gigabyte Gaming rtx 3090 ti?

The only thing stopping me from upgrading is the fact I’d have to drain my entire water cooling loop to swap it in. Thankfully my laziness is preventing me from making this stupid upgrade.

Have an option to step up to the EVGA 3090 Ti from my EVGA 3080 Ti. Decided what the heck and moving forward.

So, I have a 3090 FTW3U now... how much "better" is it in terms of 4K gaming performance? Yeah, I've seen benchmarks and all, but curious from first hand experience. I don't have trouble running anything at 4K with RT right now, but I also have a 500W vBIOS on my 3090, so I am curious how a 3090Ti compares with a 3090 that has a higher power limit and is overclocked.

It's a nice looking card tho, always liked the eVGA coolers.

The way I see it is, the 3090ti is what the 3090 should have been.
