hello everyone,

I'm currently removing all my ata drives and replacing them with SATA. I recently used G4U to clone the 200GB pata to the 300GB sata. This has always worked for me before.

Soon as the pc access the 300GB sata, I don't get a boot menu or anything, I simply get "error loading operating system"

Has anyone seen this before?

I know windows will see the 300GB sata if it boots, as it does this right now if I boot off the 200GB pata.

facts:
1) I have the latest bios for my motherboard
2) the sata ports are on my motherboard
3) g4u does an image clone at below the filesystem level. The webpage above explains well
4) I did a "copydisk" command so everything should be identical to the 200GB pata

Suggestions? I'm at a loss...

Rob

Sure. .The Sata drivers aren't native to the operating system, you never installed them, thus nothing works, your motherboard may see the drives but windows dosent know what to do with them
