Equipment when you have a projector screen?

Those of you with projectors, what do you do with your equipment? I'm not really sure how I want to do mine because I like the clean look of just having the screen and the speakers up front, but then I also like the look of having the equipment up there with it. Anyone have any pictures they could post and preferences you have?

Even if you don't have a projector, feel free to post your opinions or pictures of other people's setups to show what you mean.

I'm currently leaning toward getting or building some kind of credenza to hold all of my equipment kind of like this except with a screen above it instead of the lcd.

Thoughts?

This is my current setup

Where did you end up putting all your equipment. I like how you blended the speakers into the shelves, looks really clean. I'm in an apartment right now so I can't do anything that drastic but once I get a house I'd love to do a project very similar to yours.

my setup is kind of ghetto (it's at home and our budget was pretty much the equipment)

we pretty much project the image onto the wall. The projector is in the back of the room and we ran a sleeved wire for the front and center speakers down the middle. They have PCI-E connectors so that they can be removed on the fly as needed

It's ghetto, but it works.

It's really up to you. I personally like the equipment behind me so the lights don't draw the eye, and use an acoustically transparent screen so the front three channels are behind the false screen wall. Then again, I prefer dedicated theater rooms to the wife decorated white ceilinged/trimmed rooms that just reflect a lot of light from the PJ.

Yea, the wife said when we get a house I can have the theater room and paint it a nice dark color and block out all the windows, build equipment into the walls and all that fun stuff but right now I have to kinda rig it up. As you can see my projector screen is held up by a wood frame that I built because I am not allowed to attach anything to the walls unless it can be done with those easy remove 3m hooks. I can't even imagine how many of those it would take to hang my screen and still have enough force left to allow me to pull the screen down. I need to rebuild the frame so that it looks a bit nicer because right now it is just a bunch of 2x2" boards and elbow brackets.

Duke, my setup was significantly more ghetto a few years back, I had wires taped to the ceiling and across doorways. As the years went on I got more and more equipment and it literally became a hazard to not hide my wiring. I have a 3 inch bundle of wire that runs from the front of the room to the back of the room right now so I had to get it all zip tied up and hidden away so people didn't trip on it and rip cables out. Some of my friends aren't so gentle with things.
