hello

do you have any of these ? i am interesting in but cant really find anyone who got these machines.

you have to go through companies like thinkmate, supermicro, server direct, etc. you can't just buy the processor and boards off the shelf.

Supermicro is selling 2P boards if you want to go that route. I'm sure you can find others too. Most vendors appear to be selling single processor boards though.

ok maybe was not clear here ,
i like to build my machine from epyc cpus and some dual socket board ....
is some other option like SM dual socket board or is SM brand only option here ?

I recently upgraded my office desktop into a 2P EPYC system. tts just munching everything I throw.

very nice and whats their /epycs/ jobs ? i am thinking to build render machine for CG animations /bacis ones/ so maybe can i ask for cinebech score for multithreading ? and all turbo frequencies ?
and what OS do u use ?

ive got this:

Supermicro A+ Server 4023S-TRT

2x epyc 7401 (48 cores at 2Ghz)
128GB RAM

purchased from storage solutions in houston tx. good people.

I can load up all logical threads using benchmarks (cinebench, etc). I.E. 100% cpu utilization

However, most of my software/scripts do NOT converge any faster whether I use paralyze to 48 (# physical cores) or 96 threads. I also cannot achieve >51% cpu utilization.

Any ideas?

Are the software/scripts multithreaded? Not a lot of things can utilize multiple cores/threads at once and scale linearly.

You can buy the parts indiviually and build yourself (way cheaper) unless you find some incredible deal for a prebuilt or don't have time to fuss with putting it together.

back when i made that post there was 1 single socket supermicro board for sale on newegg at the time from a third party seller, nothing else. good to see it's shown up on newegg so that everyone has access to the hardware.

Makes sense, I didn't notice that you had posted that 5 months ago.
