Email-Salendar Integration / Exchange Server

I just started a small company with a few employees and would like integrate our calendars. Isn't that what the MS Exchange server does?

Considering we dont have our own dedicated server yet, nor do I really wish to buy a new PC just for that and leave it on 24/7, but will if its the only way, is there any easier way to integrate our calendars so we all know whats going on with our appointments/schedules all the time between the employees?

Just use hosted exchange with office 365. No need to run exchange in house with just a few people.
