I didn't notice it until just recently, but when I get private messages I'm not getting email notification despite it being turned on in my settings.

I checked my email address and its correct which leads me to believe that either something isn't working on either the forum's end or the mail server's..
 
Email notification was turned off several months ago because of it's undependable workings. Glad you finally noticed ;)
 
While I appreciate your sarcasm, MajorDomo, I don't use private messaging often enough or check on the forums often enough to know about such a change. I'm sure though that you knew that from looking at my profile.

However, I did just recieve notification about a private message today.

That was my point about the sporadic nature of the email notification system, even when turned off, it will still send notifications randomly. It is a glitch under scrutiny.
