sorry to ask this as i swore it was in a thread a couple months ago
but i've given up on finding it after 45min of searching

how well will XP64 run on a emachines M6805
are their any functions that dont work
(like the wifi doesn;t have a driver etc....)

would you all think its beter to be running the beta64 as oposed to the standard XP
this machine is mainly going to be used by my mom for heavy photo editing and ocasional internet surfing, and ocasional paper writing

thanks for your thoughts guys and girls

adobe photoshop is best optomized to run on p4, specialy the prescott core (it wins big parts of filter tests), but the question is which i am not sure of the answer, whether the centrino or dothan are as good as northy and presy in PS since they both dont have HT if i am not mistaken, and i wonder how HT effects on PS performance when it being run as single application.

at the end it depends how your mom exactly wants to use the computer beside power cpu, portability? long battery life? light wight? speed only? these factors determine which one she has to buy

I only noticed PS to slow down on my 1.3 Pentium M, overmy P4 2.26, when it was loading really.
