I've search to the end of the internet. Somebody used to sell these cheap metal 5-in-3s, non hot swap. It was simple metal bracket that you just bolted the HDs in vertically, it was like $12 bucks.

Any help?

You found the end of the internet?

Impressive!

Could you maybe find a picture to link to help understand what it is your looking for?

Ha yeah, it pretty much looks like this:

Except for 5 drives and fits in (3) 5.25" bays. Drives just screw in with the normal HD screws.

Ahh those...

That picture looks like it is out of a Antec P180 case. I still have one of those cases at home.

If you want one as pictured, you may be able to get one from Antec Directly, or post in the For Sale Section of the forum's looking for one.

GeorgeHR found one very similar and a nice price too.

I've used this before and it worked rather well.

I didn't take pictures, but I made my own 4-in-3 for less than $3.
Buy some aluminum bar 1 1/2 x 1/16
Cut off 4 segments about 140mm long
Drill a m3 holes (or 6/32) 5mm from the edge in the center, and then every 35mm after that. You'll have 4 holes total.
Do this to all 4 pieces of bar stock.
Screw in all 4 drives. Secure with double sided tape and hard drive packing foam.
