I currently use the 2.1 Edifier S730's with my PC/PS3/360 at home. http://www.edifier.ca/products/edifier-multimedia/s730.html With this sound card: http://us.store.creative.com/Sound-Blaster-XFi-XtremeGamer/M/B000J1F1BI.htm I use Sennheiser PXC 350 headphones. I am moving to a dorm room in a month and bringing my computer with me. I don't want to bring the subwoofer as it will just be a nuisance. I want to downgrade my setup to a 2.0. Should I buy a receiver/amp that can take audio inputs from my PC/PS3/360 and play out the Edifier bookshelf speakers I already own? I have zero experience using receivers and am looking for advice on what I should buy to hook my speakers up and leave the subwoofer at home. Desired receiver inputs: RCA, aux-in, optical Desired receiver outputs: Red and black speaker wire, headphone Should I just get a mini one like one of these? http://www.amazon.com/Lepai-Tripath-Class-T-Amplifier-Supply/dp/B0049P6OTI/ref=cm_cmu_pg__header http://www.amazon.com/PCA2-80-Watt-Stereo-Power-Amplifier/dp/B001P2VV50/ref=pd_cp_e_0 http://www.amazon.com/Dayton-DTA-10...ef=sr_1_3?s=aht&ie=UTF8&qid=1333005892&sr=1-3 What are my options? Budget $100? Thanks for any input!
