Easy AD integration?

I have a second tower that I'm going to be installing Linux on. Ubuntu seems to be the most common flavor and the one I'm most used to. However, joining a domain was a nightmare set of steps. Fedora, seemed a bit easier, but I still like the process is far more complicated than it needs to be. Is there a trick I'm missing, or is there a recommended distro for joining a domain? Does RHEL simplify this process?
