Hi all,

I just got my hands on a E6600 processor and so far I got it running stable at 3.4 Ghz on my 680i board (P28 BIOS). I am using Corsair XMS PC-6400 at 5-5-5-12 to do this overclock.

Vcore is at 1.5v
Memory is at stock 800 Mhz with a 2.0v (increased from 1.9v)
CPU FSB is at 1.3v

One odd thing about this processor is that I can get it to POST and boot Vista at 3.6 Ghz no problem with the Vcore at 1.6v. But testing programs such as Orthos fail after 2 minutes of testing.

Are there any E6600 and Evga 680i owners out there that have any idea how to make this processor stable at a higher clock under windows vista?

You just need to keep messing with your settings. It's as simple as that. You can up the north bridge voltage and do all kinds of other things that can make a difference. Unfortunately there is no simple answer to your quesiton as every setup differs slightly.
