E5200 + stock cooler, EP45-UD3L, Corsair 2x2GB DDR800..just want 3.0GHz...

This is sad I know...I currently own a P35-DS3L but I don't know how to OC the EP45-UD3L on my friend's newly built PC. I see some familiar settings but why the hell is there so much more? I use to only modify FSB, CPU Multi, timings, voltages, but now there's 10-20 more settings? :confused:.

Anyone have a config I can borrow? I don't want to push this baby past 3ghz-ish cause it's on a crappy stock Intel HSF (w/ AS5).
 
no need to touch other settings unless you going for crazy overclocks., just leave them on AUTO. Set PLL to 1.5, CPU voltage to 1.20, memory timming, multiplier and FSB.
 
You shouldn't really have to touch any of the other settings if you're just going for 3ghz.
My old E6550 did 3.2ghz with a bit of extra voltage and that was 2.33ghz stock.
 
3ghz for E5200 should not need much increment in CPU voltage. Besides, you are on a stock intel heatsink, what do you expect out of it? Handle up to 1.4v?
