What kind of idiot e-mails threats to assassinate the president to the FBI? This kind of idiot (yes, there is a picture of the genius too). If you ask me, this guy was just trying to get free room and board, real criminals don’t e-mail the FBI before committing a crime.

Instead, the 20-year-old Colorado man is staring down a maximum of 10 years in the slammer for his alleged recent e-mails sent directly to the Federal Bureau of Investigation threatening to "assassinate" President Barack Obama. Another message said he had "rigged 40 pounds of C4" to blow up vehicles in the Mall of America in suburban Minneapolis.

40lbs of c4? Would it be suspicious for a man to begin ordering the material for that bomb without the alert of the feds?

Im no Obama supporter but the guy has not even a month in office and he is already labelled a failure?

I think it was from that "Office of the President-Elect" BS ... he sorta took over (in the media) as President right after the election. :)

Here's what the lower class can start doing, use birth control, go back to school, get a job, get off welfare! The lower class really loves socialism. They wouldn't know what to do without it. Maybe be responsible for oneself?

Its funny watching a guy who's been president all of 2 weeks, and inherited a SHITLOAD of problems is a major failure in the eyes of people who like him, or people who don't like him who are the authority on what he should do..

He's a politician, doesn't matter if he's black white or green (although the later should question his citizenship!), am I expecting miracles from the man? No. Do I think he was a better choice than McCain/Palin? Oh HELL yes. I'm just trying to get mine while I can, then hopefully hide away on a quiet part of the world while civilizations go to hell.

Do you go eat fast food, go to the car wash, pump gas, use a public restroom, sleep at a hotel, buy food from a grocery store...and many more?

If you, you are getting service from lower class workers. If everyone did what you mentioned, who would do those kind of things?

I know there a lot of people with the potential to be more but don't and they are just taking everyone down with them. Then there are those who just can't due to various reasons. Those second group of people can live there life the way the see fit with help from the rest of the population.

It's kind of like saying, if we are on a plane and it crashes, if you can't get out by your self, then tough luck, I'm getting out of the burning plane because I can and you can't.

There's a difference between a plane crashing and being on social services. One you are not in control of, the other one you are (not including people with disabilities, even though I've seen people with disabilities become more productive than people with no physical issues..)

BTW, you first sentence refers to people that actually work and are trying to become productive members of society. I'm not talking about those people.

I'm as responsible for Myself as I can be, Even though I get an SSI check every month as I'm Permanently Disabled(I use a cane). Thankfully I don't threaten anybody, The medal up on the wall says Marksman(Rifle/Grenade), But I'm not a violent type and rifles are an expense that I don't need, PCs are more interesting these days(I'm good enough with a PC), Back 30 years ago I could hit a moving target and drop It @ 600M(1968.5 feet = .37282196969696 ... miles, It's not the same as a live target as they usually shoot back) and that was with blurry vision and no glasses(I could barely make out the target). So C4? Why? Sounds too hard to get(regulated?), In any case even I wouldn't do something like that guy did(or anything for that matter), But then Obama is legally the 44th President and He's got the Service at His beck and call I hear, So I think He's safer than Lincoln and such(If He follows their suggestions and I hope He does).

I guess we are now on the same level of agreement. Didn't mean to sound like I disagreed with you.

I just don't like it when better off people tell the lesser off people to just get a job/school/birth control.

Lower class/income people also work hard, they just work hard differently then hard working middle/upper class people.

OT: this guy is obviously a bit off his rocker. I mean, seriously? The FBI. He shoulda sent the mail to the secret service. Woulda got a bit faster turn around on his desire for deluxe federal accomodations.

To a degree you are right, most people on minimum wage would be considered lower class workers, those you listed don't always make the minimum wage as Walmart and Conoco pays more than so. Lower class citizens can also be viewed as those that are disabled/jobless/low to no income on the brink of homelessness.

I don't believe in a free ride, but we have several pitfalls in our country that produce many lower class citizens: poor educational institutions, loss of jobs due to companies outsourcing, uncontrolled banks, poor state/fed spending.

The greatest single most factor is education as our schools lack the ability to produce quality citizens prepared to work and then the lack of regulations on companies.

good call. you are right. Both education quality and the cost of that education are a crime... I'm not sure what you mean by quality citizens though, a quality citizen to me is one that questions everything and takes nothing at face value...that's not what businesses or governments see as quality citizens.

somewhere along the line we lost critical thinking in our education institutions, all while smiling and saying "please sir may i have another" when the overpriced tuition bill shows up. Educations costing more than a house is a crime. seriously, total criminal scam.

Nearly a trillion dollars in bailout money going to corporations. I wouldn't say the lower class is the only group who love 'socialism' as you incorrectly label it. And furthermore, the lower class pay a higher tax percentage than to the rich/wealthy. So, they're very much deserving of this thing you call socialism.

The youtube generations has to do something to try and get notoriety out of every action they take. We are in for a decade or two of very stupid and easy criminals.
 
omg.. IMHO americans in general whine too much.. this might not be your particular case, but in general.

i think that once you do well for so long, you no longer appreciate it.
